A diary is a form of personal writing that records things that happen every day. A diary can also be used to record things that one is planning to do in future as well as the time planned for them.
The term diary can
also be used to refer to a specific book that is used to write down things that
happen to one on daily basis. However, in functional writing, the term diary
refers to records of things that one plans to do in future and the scheduled
time to do them.
A diary is a very
important personal document that helps one to plan for things that he/she plans
to do at a particular time in future. In this sense, a diary acts as an aid to
memory.
